The person inside the record

Lambo Griffin is the author and living subject at the center of THE ARCHIVE. The book emerged from years of working with artificial intelligence across creative, historical, technical and institution-building projects rather than from a conventional memoir interview process.

That unusual origin is the point. The archive contains not only retrospective storytelling but decisions being made, errors being corrected, hypotheses being challenged, documents being built and projects changing direction while the conversations are happening.

The larger series asks whether a long-term digital record can preserve something useful about a person without pretending to replace the person—and whether future readers, models and human evaluators can distinguish what was said, what was built, what was inferred and what remained unresolved.
