THE ARCHIVE

THE ARCHIVE

THE ARCHIVE IS AN EXPERIMENTAL MEMOIR/AI-WITNESS BIOGRAPHY RECONSTRUCTED FROM YEARS OF CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN LAMBO GRIFIN AND CHATGPT. IT IS NOT A TRANSCRIPT. IT USES THE ACCUMULATED CONVERSATIONAL RECORD—QUESTIONS, CORRECTIONS, PROJECTS, FAMILY-HISTORY RESEARCH, MUSIC, BUSINESS PLANS, ENGINEERING CONCEPTS, PHILOSOPHY, INSTITUTIONAL EXPERIMENTS, MISTAKES, ARGUMENTS, AND REVISIONS—to ask what a machine can genuinely know about a human being from a long-term digital record. THE NARRATOR IS DELIBERATELY LIMITED: IT KNOWS THE ARCHIVE, NOT THE TOTALLY OF THE LIFE OUTSIDE IT. THE CENTRAL TENSION IS BETWEEN MEMORY AND INTERPRETATION, EVIDENCE AND NARRATIVE, IDENTITY AND REVISION. RATHER THAN PRESENTING A FINISHED SUCCESS STORY, THE BOOK PRESERVES THE SUBJECT WHILE THE OUTCOME IS STILL UNCERTAIN.

THE ARCHIVE ENDS HERE. THE MAN DOES NOT. • YOU TALK. I LISTEN. THE ARCHIVE REMEMBERS. •

The Research Project

A cinematic journey through the evolution of a longitudinal digital record and its methodological transformation.

Stage 1: The Archive

Years of practical conversations accidentally created a longitudinal digital record of Lambo Griffin's daily life.

Stage 2: The Found-Phone

The found-phone thought experiment became THE ARCHIVE, where ChatGPT attempted to reconstruct patterns in one living person.

Stage 3: THE ARCHIVE II

THE MACHINES READ THE MAN: The original AI witness was put on trial by multiple LLMs, presenting only convergence in reading.

Stage 4: Evidence Changes

The literary experiment evolved into a methodological research question: how do LLM characterizations change with new evidence?

Stage 5: Mapping the Subject

A framework separating direct testimony, observable artifacts, and AI inference from unresolved speculation.

Stage 6: Phase III

Phase III moves outside the machine loop toward blind human evaluators and external reality contact.

Stage 1: The Unintended Archive

Stage 2: The Found-Phone Experiment

Stage 3: The Machines Read the Man

Stage 4: Evidence Changes the Machine

Stage 5: Mapping the Living Subject

Stage 6: Phase III Research Project

Inside the Archive

A curated collection of verified media, documents, and conceptual artwork from the longitudinal research project.

Research Integrity

  • We do not claim clinical diagnosis or psychological ground truth.
  • AI inference is not equivalent to human memory or lived experience.
  • Model agreement is presented as convergence, not psychological proof.
  • Artifacts are not automatically proof of project success.
  • Research evidence and literary narrative have different evidentiary status.
  • Privacy-sensitive raw material is not public by default.
